Different Types of Will Forms:

 

On this site we will be providing basic Last Will and Testament forms that provide the important provisions relative to most basic Wills. We call these "simple wills" because they cover the baisc issues relative to the vast majority of estates. The primary purpose is to benefit the heirs by providing them a smooth legal transition of the estate.

These forms are not appropriate for complex gift giving, specific bequests of individual items or where a church or charitable institution is given a portion of the estate, or where the estate is such that it involves estate tax consequences.

While these wills can be used and are "legal" for any size estate, they are not appropriate for taxable estates, international estates or those which involve complex beneficiaries or charitable gifts. Individuals with these kind of issues need to consult with an attorney who specializes in estate planning.

The vast majority of us simply want to bequeath our estate to our spouses, and to our children. We want to designate the beneficiaries of the estate, and make it as easy as possible for them to manage the transfer of title with as little government or court supervision as possible. We do this by having a Will, and by making the Will "self proving".
